American Heritage Homes is a custom home builder focused on “your lot” construction. What that means is that we don’t develop land or carry an inventory of lots to build on, customers come to us with land they have purchased or are looking to purchase in and around Central Ohio.
If this is the first time you’ve ever build on your lot, don’t worry we have been building homes on our customer’s lots for over 25 years. We know that building a new home is exciting and sometimes unpredictable. And we understand the value in ease and convenience and do our best to make the process of building your new home as enjoyable and simple as possible.
Benefits of On Your Lot Construction
Location: Want to be surrounded by a forest of trees? Or live in a specific city or school district? Whether you want the peaceful countryside or the suburban lifestyle, one of the benefits of on your lot construction is that you get to choose exactly where you want to live.
Customization: When you build a custom home on your lot, you have the flexibility of customizing your floor plan and selections to suit your life and decorating styles. Want a dog wash station in your mudroom? No problem! Love the look of sliding barn doors or cathedral ceilings? Sure! It all starts by either choosing one of our 40+ floor plans or sharing with us your existing, custom plans. From there our New Home Consultants will work with you to ensure you’re building the house you love at the price you can afford.
No Restrictions: Typically, you can do more on your land when you build on your lot. Because it’s your land, there are few – if any – restrictions on what you can or cannot do. Many of our homeowners have easily built sheds or installed swimming pools on their homesite long after construction of their new home is complete.
Connection: From choosing your homesite to customizing your floor plan – your home is all you! You created it for you, your family and your way of life. And because you have made this home from scratch, the connection you have to this home will last for years…or at least until you’re ready to build your next American Heritage Home!
What sets us apart
When you build with American Heritage Homes, you are not only improving your community, you’re also improving ours. We live here. We are your neighbors. We see our homes every day. We care. Our owners are involved in every build – whether they are drawing your custom home or walking your lot with you – you are getting personalized one-on-one attention every step of the way.
We have our own in-house plan designers and interior design consultants to guide you through the process of designing your home and making your dreams a reality. We don’t outsource these services, making the customization process nearly seamless.
Our New Homes Consultants and Builder Teams are engaged in the building process every step of the way. Bringing a history of interior design experience with them, our Consultants are no strangers to the design build process and will work with you as you begin developing your new home. And our Builder Teams are dedicated, hard workers with years of experience building new custom homes.
Our Standard features are anything but standard. Each Designer Collection home comes standard with custom, painted maple cabinetry and granite countertops. We also feel the bones of the home are equally as important as the finishes, which is why our GMX Ultra-Shield waterproofing system is top of the line and standard in each of our Designer Collection homes.
Having been in business for over 25 years, we have established long-standing relationships with our trade partners. These relationships are built on trust and have helped us complete hundreds of high-quality homes at an affordable price.
Our quality-constructed custom homes come complete with the following warranties
- 10-year transferrable structural warranty
- 30-year transferrable warranty on our waterproofing system
- One year BIA of Central Ohio builder warranty
- And all other manufacturers warranties including but not limited to Andersen, Schlage, Moen, Kohler and Heartland.
A complete homeowners manual and all warranty packets are delivered at closing, so you have everything you need regarding your warranties at your fingertips when your home is complete.
